GW (golden week)

We're having a small 4 day holiday from school. Leila had her birthday the day before yesterday. I made Hanna's chocolate cake & it was a small risk because I don't like to make anything that I haven't made before, when I have guests. But I trusted Hanna you see, & put myself "out on that limb of faith" & it was delicious.

As soon as Mac comes back from his work trip, I'll post pictures of Leila's birthday because I don't know how to get the pictures from his camera onto the computer.

But here are a few from the phone of after the party. Leila fast asleep & the kids putting jewelry on the baby. tsk

Happy 30th, Tom

He he, my little brother turns 30 today. When we were little I used to call him "Commie" which was not the coolest name to have back then during what was the "cold war".

I also used to beat my head against the wall to get mom's attention after he was born. But Tom & I got along well when we were little. Mom said we never fought like you other kids, yay us!

Well, Have a great birthday, Tom. Celebrate in true German style (beers, etc)

Happy Baby --Update

Lina is 4 months & very active already. She holds toys & baby biscuits & puts them in her mouth. She gets all bored when we keep her in the same place for a while. She tries to sit up by tensing her stomach muscles, but gets mad that she can't get sit up. She tries to grab so I need to watch out for my tea cup & stuff I am holding. She likes books & colorful things.

Fishing

Mac took Kiki & Carole fishing. They had a blast, & we had a yummy dinner!

I like this song. "Chasing Cars" (Snow Patrol)

(I all think I'm Angie, posting songs on my blog)

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see

I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Spring break, dudes.

So the kids finished school on Monday & that means they finished the school year as well. Kiki came home & announced that they had "Haagen-dogs" with their school lunch as a special treat. The kids are starting to get coughs so I wonder if we'll have a slow holiday.

Leila is all perky cuz she gets to start Kindy in a few weeks. I'm all making that bomb carrot cake with cream cheese frosting again and today Mac let me go out for a little me time. I finally got some jeans that fit me cuz you know how it is trying to try on jeans with a baby so I'm all happy to have some new jeans since all my other jeans are too small. We went to Cryssy's family's house the other day & went to a nice park.

Mac's Birthday

We had a delicious birthday brunch thanks to me & my excellent cooking.

So Mac is out now going to see Angie's "precious". (The rock/metal concert)

We are making chocolate cake & chocolate frosting & the kids have been picking chocolate all day.

Bee is nursing, & I'm looking at my love handles noticing it's not helping me lose any weight these days.

Well, Angie left...

She went home to take care of Mom. We all miss her. I'm all bored so I guess there's nothing better to do so I'm folding laundry finally.

I took Angie to Tokyo Tower on her 2nd to last day. We went into the wax museum, ate some ramen & ice-cream, & bought some stuff. I'm sure she'll post photos as soon as her jet lag wears off.

Well, here's a picture of bee to cheer us up.

"Murphy's" Week

Well, M has cancer again & we are waiting for biopsy results.

Ang fell down the stairs & has a huge bruise on her butt.

It was so windy the other day the train line I needed to go to work was out of order. I barely made it there & back using other forms of transport & waited in line the cold for hours to get on a bus.

It's been really cold, me & Ang have colds. Ang can't taste her food.

Ang is going home 2 weeks ahead of plan to help mom so this is our last week with her & Mac is gone the whole time so we can't do nuthin special.

I was cooking & all my ramen bowls fell off the shelf & broke on my hand & cut my finger super bad, I can't even wash dishes.

Ang will be missing her fave band's concert by 5 days because she's going home early.

So I was all trying to be nice to Ang while she was out by cleaning her foom & taking her landry downstairs to wash it & I all fell down the stairs too. I guess something is wrong with the stairs & they are too slippery.

Happy Val. Poem dedicated to all you romantic souls. (You know who you are)

When We Two Parted --by Lord Byron

When we two parted
In silence and tears,
Half broken-hearted,
To sever for years,
Pale grew thy cheek and cold,
Colder thy kiss;
Truly that hour foretold
Sorrow to this.

The dew of the morning
Sank chill on my brow—
It felt like the warning
Of what I feel now.
Thy vows are all broken,
And light is thy fame:
I hear thy name spoken,
And share in its shame.

They name thee before me,
A knell to mine ear;
A shudder comes o'er me—
Why wert thou so dear?
They know not I knew thee,
Who knew thee too well:—
Long, long shall I rue thee
Too deeply to tell.

In secret we met—
In silence I grieve
That thy heart could forget,
Thy spirit deceive.
If I should meet thee
After long years,
How should I greet thee?—
With silence and tears.
